Engagement
Employee engagement is how an employee feels about how things are done. An assignment with PeopleStance on the Employee Value Proposition can be undertaken to build a clear understanding of “what it’s really like to work around here”. But since it’s a two-way process, you also need to be clear on what you are offering – and different age groups tend to have different expectations. So in essence, you are capturing “what’s the deal of working here”.
Alternatively, an employee opinion survey could be done – with the creation of an action plan based on the outcomes and regular temperature checks.
Closely connecting the purpose and passion of the company through a clear and meaningful vision, mission and values will go a long way to deepen the levels of engagement. And by understanding some of the unique elements, a clear culture can be captured and shared with existing and prospective employees.
In a nutshell, the purpose, cause or belief of the company is key.
